I guess I should post a little bit about real estate. 😂🏡 We closed on TWO homes for our sellers! 🎉 One sold for more than $40,000 over asking, and the other sold for more than $25,000 over asking. 💰 Here’s what makes me even happier. Both homes were purchased by VA buyers. 🇺🇸 If you’re not in real estate, you may not know that VA buyers are still discriminated against far too often because of outdated myths about VA financing. It’s incredibly frustrating because these are the men and women who served our country and fought for our freedom. I’m proud my sellers looked at the strength of the offers, not just the financing, and helped two veterans achieve the dream of homeownership while also getting incredible prices for their homes. ❤️🏡 Congratulations to my sellers, the buyers, and everyone who helped get these transactions to the closing table! 🔑 Now I’m curious… Did you know VA buyers are often overlooked simply because of the type of loan they’re using? The other day, a lady argued with me under MY post about whether or not I had this tattoo removed. I took this picture the day I saw her comment to show her it was still on my LEFT shoulder. I don’t mind someone asking me if I had it removed. I just think it’s weird because she wasn’t even someone I know or friends with. She was a complete stranger. She proceeded to tell me the picture I posted on Monday about being one year without alcohol wasn’t really me. Social media can be a playground for the devil. I’m here to bring positivity, light, humor, and a little sass. 😎 If you’re someone who doesn’t like what another person posts, keep scrolling or simply unfollow them. We don’t have to agree on everything, and that’s okay. She ended up blocking me, so she actually did ME a favor. I think one of the biggest issues with humans right now is that we have lost the ability to sit in discomfort with one another. We do not know how to disagree without disconnecting, feel offended without attacking, or hear something uncomfortable without immediately deciding the other person is bad. 🥲 Social media has made it way too easy to hide behind a screen, say things we would never say to someone’s face, and forget there is an actual human being on the other side of the post. We can unfollow, block, delete, judge, embarrass, or tear someone apart online before ever having a real conversation. Then we carry that same behavior into our real life relationships. Instead of asking, “What did you mean by that?” we make assumptions. Instead of talking directly TO someone, we talk ABOUT them to everyone else. Instead of allowing people to be complicated, flawed, and still worthy of connection, we reduce them to one comment, one mistake, or one difference of opinion. Often times shredding them to pieces online as if they are not human. We are more connected than ever, yet so many people feel unseen, misunderstood, and alone. Because being visible is not the same as being known. And just because someone can be seen online does not mean they are truly being seen at all. Have we become so committed to protecting our own comfort that we are destroying our ability to build meaningful relationships? Real relationships require difficult conversations, accountability, forgiveness, curiosity, and the willingness to hear something we may not like. They cannot survive when every disagreement becomes disrespect and every uncomfortable moment becomes a reason to walk away. Maybe the problem is not that we are too disconnected. Maybe the problem is that we have forgotten how to STAY connected when things get uncomfortable. What do you think? 🤔

I'll say it louder for the people in the back. Not every prospect is meant to be your client. And you are not meant to be everybody's client. I remember interviewing for a speaking opportunity in Colorado and the woman asked if I had a YouTube channel. I said, "I do not, and if you need someone with a YouTube channel, I'm probably not your girl." She passed on me. And that was okay. Most people would have made excuses, tried to sell themselves anyway, or worse quit going after speaking gigs altogether. I did none of those things. I just kept going. And now? Now I have a YouTube channel. 😂 But here's the bigger lesson. Just because an opportunity comes into your space doesn't mean it's meant for you. Just because you can take the money doesn't mean you should. The sooner you build your red velvet rope policy shoutout to Michael Port the sooner you stop wasting energy on the wrong rooms and start showing up fully in the right ones. I'm not serving your people if I take an opportunity I know I'm not the best person for. That's not humility. That's integrity. Who else has turned down an opportunity that wasn't the right fit?
